And so it's unleashed: Rovio, the maker of Angry Birds, has launched Amazing Alex, its follow-up to the smash hit game.
On Thursday it made its debut on iOS (s AAPL) and Android (s GOOG), with PC, Mac and Windows Phone (s MSFT) versions apparently on the way.
To be honest, there's not much to say about Amazing Alex itself.
I actually quite like the game AmazingAlex clearly its highly unlikely to have the staying power of Angry Birds but in the history of almost every game anywhere ever seen AngryBirds is an exceptional story and will be tough to follow up on. As with most Rovio are in the scenario of having to follow up on an amazing first Album (I discount the first 50 as they did not hit the jackpot). I hope AmazingAlex can be a good example of how a community can be maintained with other forms of games which are different.
